North and South

I have finally joined the ranks of many fellow bloggers who have been raving about North and South. I know this contest is over, but Lea may I please change my vote for the best kiss... hands down, the kiss between Thornton and Margaret was so much better than the one on the Titanic. I had to vote for Titanic as I had not yet scene the kiss for North and South. I am now officially casting my vote in with North and South. I don't know if it was the kiss so much as what transpired leading up to the kiss. This is definitely a movie I will need to purchase in the near future, for now though I will happy to watch it over and over again on my computer through Netflix. This is probably the most romantic movie I have seen this year!! And to think that I had no clue what I had been missing. Ugh!!

And I must say that I really had no idea who Richard Armitage was. I know I have seen him other movies before and I have heard Ms.M rave about him. Now I know and am soo on this band wagon too!!

Up Coming Must Sees!!

I have several favorite actors and actresses, but my all time favorite actress is Sandra Bullock I don't think there has been a movie she's played in that I haven't seen and loved. Here is the trailer for her upcoming movie The Proposal. I do believe that I will be in the theater opening day!! This looks like it is going to be a riot!

Nora Roberts: Northern Lights

For those of you who have had your head buried in the sand, don't read Nora, or don't watch Lifetime Movies for Women... My all time favorite author, one that I have read consistently over the last 15 years, Nora Roberts has done it again. She teamed up with Lifetime movies and made movies out of some of my favorite books. The first one Northern Lights premieres Saturday March 21 at 9 pm Eastern . Leanne Rhimes is staring beside Eddie Cibrian
We all know who Leanne Rhimes is (reason for no picture... that and I am technically challenged), but I didn't know this hunk by name... but I have definitely seen him in several things!

I have to say that I was a little disappointed in Blue Smoke when I watched the premiere, but the other three were pretty decent... they at least rated right up there with the rest of the Lifetime movies. I had not read the other books before watching the movies, maybe that is why I wasn't disappointed in them. I am giving it another chance. I plan on making my best friend, who has never read a Nora book, watch it with me Saturday.

I will unfortunately have to catch a rerun of the second movie, the one I am most looking forward to, Midnight Bayou. I am really kicking myself in the you know what for letting my husband talk me into getting rid of my DVR! Oh well I will make him suffer, he will either have to hibernate in the bedroom or watch these movies with me in the living room...I'm NOT going to give up my TV!!!
I tried to share the video, but for some reason it didn't work...I'm sure it was user error!

Twilight...continued?!

Ok, so I had to wait until Saturday night to talk about this movie with another avid Twilight fan. My daughter's best friend, the one who kept insisting that I read this series, spent the night. We spent a few minutes discussing her thoughts about it. Before telling you what she thought about it let me tell you she has probably read this series in its entirety 11 times. She can probably quote any line from the books that you need.
I asked my dear little friend if she liked it, in Robyn's 12 yr old teeny bopper way she yelled out NO! She absolutely hated this movie, as did the rest of her family. So we started talking in depth about what she hated and if there was anything at all that she liked about it. Here are some of her thoughts...
1. The first kiss was horrible. Edward would never have approached Bella that way...by saying "I want to try something" and he would not have been so forceful in his actions to avoid her.
2. Everything was too rushed.
3. Bella would never have screamed out the way that she did, she would have been stronger than what they portrayed her to be in the fight scene with James.
4. She loved James
5. She liked the baseball game
6. The kitchen scene was stupid... "her name is Bella, she must be Italian"
7. Alice coming up to Bella saying "we are going to be the best of friends", she said this was corny but in a way it was true to Alice's personality.
She basically hated everything about this movie except for James.
