In a place where ecstasy can cost you your life…
She’s a demon-slayer who hungers for sensual pleasure—but fears it will always be denied her. Until Tayla Mancuso lands in a hospital run by demons in disguise, and the head doctor, Eidolon, makes her body burn with unslakable desire. But to prove her ultimate loyalty to her peers, she must betray the surgeon who saved her life.
Two lovers will dare to risk all.
Eidolon cannot resist this fiery, dangerous woman who fills him with both rage and passion. Not only is she his avowed enemy, but she could very well be the hunter who has been preying upon his people. Torn between his need for the truth and his desire to find his perfect mate before a horrific transformation claims him forever, Eidolon will dare the unthinkable—and let Tayla possess him, body and soul…

My Thoughts:

I have seen this series floating around blog land and Shelfari for quite some time now, and always say to myself that I will get to it some time. DIK Reading Challenge was just the kick in the butt that I needed to finally get Pleasure Unbound off my TBR list and onto my reading list. I don't guess I need to tell you that Pleasure Unbound was the first book I read by Larissa Ione.

Eidolon has built a hospital, Underworld General, that caters to the needs of various demons. Only a select few are denied care in his hospital, and unfortunately he never foresaw the need to include the Aegis on that list. He has a passion for helping and healing others and as part of his genetic makeup he follows the rules, so when Skulk brings in Tayla Mancuso he feels duty bound to treat her wounds, regardless of the desires that are voiced by several others including his brothers to take her out of the hospital and destroy her.

He is battling some very dark demons of his own. Eidolon's maturation is coming and unless he can find a woman that he is willing to bond with, and who is willing to bond with him, then his darker side is going to come to the surface and he will be forever changed...

Tayla is deep in enemy territory. Her body is betraying her on several levels and now she is faced with a hot doctor who is turning her into putty. She needs to figure out a way to escape the hospital, get back to headquarters and convince the regent that she is not compromised.

Larissa Ione has created a world of dark humor, explosive sexual tensions, and bone breaking battles all centered around Eidolon and Tayla. There are plenty of sub characters to enrich the plot and ensure that this story remains a page turner. I am definitely hooked on this dark underworld.

I read this one a long time ago but I remember enjoying it. I haven't proceeded with the series but I do have all the available titles. Typical VFG.

Great review Heather. You reminded me that I need to hurry and get reading this series.

Hugs, VFG

Thank you Ladies for stopping by and leaving such awesome comments! I am sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I have been out of town...basking in the sun and getting as toasty as a lobster while enjoying some much needed R&R.

Sabrina I am glad that you enjoyed the review. I will definitely check out your blog very soon!!

VFG, isn't that how it always works out. You find a book in a series that you enjoy and then wait to read more while gathering up the remaining books and then never get back to the series. I think that is the exact reason I have started to swear off reading series until I have everyone of them in my hands. The only down side to that is what if I don't like the series. This is definitely one that I will be getting back to very soon.

Lea sweetie you are the reason that I picked this book for the DIK challenge. You have raved on this series and Larissa Ione for as long as I have been stalking your blog...maybe longer... I always seem to love the books I get from you!!! I will definitely keep my eyes open for your contest this month. Hopefully I haven't missed it!!
